Students speak

“It was enlightening and thought provoking. I learned that even if you don’t have the same opinion, you can still talk about it without getting into an [adversarial] argument. We were able to openly discuss our opinions on very relevant matters for us as a group, and for the current world we live in. We were able to develop our thoughts along the way, while respecting the ideas of others.”
(High school student, Albert Park College)

“This was heaven! I love the collaborations of ideas and everyone presenting their opinions with support of peers and Michelle! She helps us unlock different opinions and think deeply. Thank you so much for helping and encouraging me to pursue Philosophy. I feel like my knowledge has grown exponentially!”
(Millie, Year 8, Eltham College)

Philosophy is fun!

“I loved the Philosophy Club; it was a great opportunity to tie your brain in a knot then squash it into a pancake while it’s still in a knot. Then you untie your brain when it’s still a pancake, then mould it back into its original shape. That’s philosophy, that’s what we got to do, and it’s very fun… As for my favorite thing in the two days, I enjoyed all of it. Thank you very much for running the course.” (Lily)
